the following things. If you have any other questions, please

Climate
Hungary has a mild continental climate. The number 2,000 hours
per year. In Budapest there can be up to 8 hours of sunshine a
day from April to September.
Currency
The local currency is called "Forint" (short: Ft). Currently,
the exchange rate is around 250 Ft per 1 Euro. The Forint is a
convertible currency. Money can be exchanged in banks, travel
agencies, or exchange agencies, which are located on main roads
and public places, shopping miles, train stations, and airports.
International credit cards are being accepted everywhere and
ATMs operate in different languages (English and/or German). Please
note that the amount of money that can be drawn out within one
week is limited.
Caution: In Hungary you cannot pay with checks, only with cash
or money transfer.
Language
The Hungarian language is exceptionally difficult, but there
are some go-between languages, like English, French, or Italian
used as well. The elderly age-groups usually speak German.
Personal Identity Card (ID)
Citizens of the following countries are permitted to enter Hungary
and stay for a period no longer than 90 days with their identity
card if the purpose of their journey is neither an employment
nor any other profitable activity: Austria, Belgium, France, Croatia,
Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Slovenia.
Passport
All citizens of the European Union can enter Hungary with passport
and without visa. Among the non-European countries, all citizens
of the following countries don't need visa: the United States,
Argentina, Brasil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Israel,
Japan, South-Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New-Zealand, Nicaragua,
Panama, Seychelle Islands, Singapore, Republic of South-Africa,
Uruguay, Venezuela.
Money
The local currency

We adcive you to avoid change in aiports and stations ( bad rates).
The credit cards are accepted everywhere and if you need cash,
you can take out of the cash machines that offer their services
in more languages (English, Germain). However, don't forget to
see to it that you will need more kind of means of payment because
the amount you can take out of the machine is limited.
Telephone
The telephone boxes work with cards and coins. Cards can be
bought at post offices, tobacco shops, and news vendor shops.
To call abroad, dial 00 and then the country code (France: 33,
Switzerland: 41, Italy: 39, Belgium and Luxembourg: 32, Great
Britain and Ireland: 44, United States: 1 etc.). Be careful not
to dial the 0 before the region code because this way the call
will be unsuccessful.
For example, to call Paris you need to dial 00 33 1
To call Budapest from France, you need to dial 00 36 and then
1 (Budapest`s region code) and finally the number of the person
you want to call.
